District Judge


Honorable Ronald G. Crowder

Judge Crowder was appointed to the 4th Judicial District Court bench by in July of 2006.  Previously in the private practice of law in Colorado Springs, he has also served as a Deputy District Attorney and a municipal court judge.  In addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida, Judge Crowder has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Colorado and a Juris Doctor from the University of Denver. 

A citizen soldier, Judge Crowder has extensive experience in the military as well as the law.  His military experience, non-legal, has spanned more than thirty years and includes being activated on four separate occasions, with foreign assignments in Germany (twice), Vietnam, Lithuania, Slovenia and Korea.  At the time of his appointment to the bench, he was serving as a Major General in the Colorado Army National Guard and assigned as the Deputy Commanding General (National Guard) of US Army, Pacific at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.

Community leader positions Judge Crowder has held include President of United Services Organization (USO) Chapter, President of the Association of United States Army (AUSA) Chapter, Treasurer of the Arthritis Association Chapter, Secretary to the El Paso County Bar Association and member of the Colorado State Bar Association Board of Governors.
